Thepchaiya Un-Nooh fires rapid 147 in Nanjing

Thepchaiya Un-Nooh lit up the 2026 International Championship by making a magnificent 147 maximum break against Mark Williams in Nanjing.

The Thai star completed the perfect clearance in the opening frame of their last-32 match, racing around the table in just over seven minutes. The key moment came when he confidently doubled the 14th red before clearing the remaining balls to a delighted reception.

It was the eighth maximum of Un-Nooh’s career, moving him into seventh place on his own in the all-time list of professional 147 makers. It was also the sixth maximum of the current season and the 247th officially recorded in professional snooker.

Williams recovered impressively from losing the opening frame without scoring and went on to win the match 6-3. He advances to face fellow Class of ’92 great John Higgins in the last 16.
