Wilson overturns Fan to reach Nanjing final

Kyren Wilson produced a superb second-session fightback to beat Fan Zhengyi 9-6 and reach the 2026 International Championship final in Nanjing.

Fan led 5-3 after the opening session, but Wilson returned in determined fashion and won six of the final seven frames. Breaks of 102, 84 and 86 moved him ahead before Fan levelled at 6-6.

The turning point came in frame 13. Fan built a 50-point lead, only for Wilson to clear with 63 and take the frame on the black. A century in the next put him within one of victory, and a break of 53 completed the comeback.

Wilson has now won 11 consecutive matches on the professional tour after lifting the Northern Ireland Open title last month. Saturday’s best-of-19 final will be his 20th ranking-event final, with John Higgins or Chang Bingyu providing the opposition.
